The Advisory Board for ARCWII is established to provide strategic guidance, industry insights, and professional expertise to support the organization’s mission of delivering workforce training and career development across key industries: Technology & Digital Innovation, Professional & Business Services, Education, Training & Workforce Development. Advisory Board members serve on a voluntary basis and the role is non-fiduciary
Role and Responsibilities
The Advisory Board serves in a non-fiduciary, advisory capacity and is expected to:
- Offer strategic advice on growth, partnerships, and innovation.
- Provide insights into industry trends, training needs, and emerging opportunities.
- Act as ambassadors and advocates for the organization.
- Make introductions and help build connections with potential partners, clients, and funders.
- Participate in periodic reviews of programs, outcomes, and strategic direction.
Composition
Board members should collectively demonstrate:
- Capacity to open doors (funding, partnerships, media, policy)
- Ability to contribute financially (Give/Get policy)
- Strategic—not operational—orientation
- Experience reading financials and performance dashboards
- Commitment to fiduciary, duty of care, and duty of loyalty responsibilities
Term and Commitment
Each member is appointed for a term of 1 year, renewable by mutual agreement. Members are expected to:
- Attend [quarterly] virtual or in-person meetings.
- Provide occasional input between meetings via email or phone.
- Participate in at least one special initiative or event annually.
